Project Summary

The project Hour Class is the project which gives the solutions related to the problems of institutions and educational firms. We address the problems of time table manual generation, student’s attendance, student’s performance calculator, hence we give solutions of most of the problems which done manually in our university.

We are making an application that will do the following tasks:

• Generate time table automatically
• Finger print attendance system for students
• RFID sensor to omit the other student’s entry in classes at free time.
• Bar code reader for scan time table and attendance related information.

Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to make the university paper free. The students of Computer science had decided to automate the whole university with maximum automation and minimum paper work.  To meet the goal we had decided to make solutions of various tasks which is done with a lot of effort manually.

Project Implementation Method

We had divided our tasks in modules.

• In first module we make Time table generator.
• In second we make the attendance system with finger print
• In third we make RIFD for department
• The last is Bar code reader

Benefits of the Project

Reduces and minimizes the paper work and men power. No need to hire a separate staff for each task.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Time table generator: We will use genetic algorithm for automatic scheduling. We do validations so that it validate and ensure that there should not be any clash in classes and of teachers and their rooms.

 Finger print attendance system: The system will take attendance in last 10 mins of every class. The system in the backend calculate the short of attendance and show to teacher the actual percentage of every student.

RIFD for classes: We will give RFID card to each and every student in the department and place RFID reader gate at the gate. This will ensure the entrance of only authorized students in classes and the department because we have highly important equipment and data so that we have to limit the external entrance.

Bar code for timetable: Each student have barcode regarding to their time table when they scan they get the info related to their time table, attendance and classes and they will get this information on their Mobile Application.
