Hexapod Spider is a six legged bot that can walk across the field.The reason of making such project is to provide ease to farmer and it would be great development in era of agriculture.
Basically the spider bot structure is made up of acrylic sheets,aluminium pipe and teflon pad.The movement of six legs are dependent on twelve servo motors.The branch of physics Kinematics is being used for the movement of bot.The consumption of energy is twelve volts and bot is integrated with a android application that control the bot. Live streaming of camera help the farmer to spray pesticide and seeding feature help him to drop the seed at his desired location across the field.

Project Implementation Method

  • Hexapod Spider is a six legged bot that can walk easily across the field.Basically the spider bot structure is made up of acrylic sheets, aluminium pipe and teflon pad.Lithium batteries are attached which is passing twelve volts to buck converters and it is further supplying five volts. The movement of six legs are dependent on twelve servo motors.The consumption of energy is twelve volts and hardware is integrated with a android application that control the bot.Live streaming of camera help the farmer to notice what is going around the field and on one click to spray pesticide and use seeding feature which would help him to drop the seed at his desired location across the field.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

  • Three lithium batteries of 4V  are connected in series generating 12 volts , those batteries are connected with two buck converters they are supplying 5V to 12 servo motors
  • Using 6 servo motors model for inner movement of leg model: MG945 Towerpro Digital Metal Servo 12KG High torque
  •  Other six servo motors are for joint movement of spider bot leg model: RDS-3115 which can rotate upto angle of 180 degree.
  • Arduino Mega 2560 a micro controller that is programmed.
  • NodeMCU is an open-source firmware and development kit that helps you to prototype or build IoT product. We are using it for WIFI connectivity with android application.
