Hexapod robot for uneven terrain
Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryThe aim of this project is to design a six legged robot for uneven terrain. As wheeled robot on uneven terrain required more power in movement and mostly its wheels slips at uneven surfaces. Two legged robot movement requires continuously changing in center of gravity by some sensor sources on uneven terrain whereas in comparison with these pervious robots hexapod robot will still works even if one of the legs is damaged. For surveillance issue it will help to save human life by scanning the mined area through metal detector, ultrasonic radars and other devices. Hexapod is also used for tracking and gathering prior information that are required on task missions.
The knowledge we gathered from university is a important tool to implement on welfare purpose. Many people losses their lives in terrorism and disasters, so to minimize the losses of human lives. We make a cost effective hexapod robot for market. It can easily produced by government organization on large scale and cannot effect the economy factor. We will also try our best to make further advancement in hexapod robot.
Project ObjectivesHexapod robot main scope is to provide stability on uneven terrain. The essential part for stability well-fortified body with cost effectiveness.Hexapod having applications in every fields e.g. Military, medical and rescue fields etc.
Project Implementation MethodWe designed the robot structure on Auto cad software (2D), then we selected the PVC sheet of suitable thickness. After this we cut the sheet using CNC, then we selected the servos motors and implemented the circuit we also selects the suitable battery, sensors and communication component
Benefits of the ProjectThis report proposes a surveillance robot having six legged body structure, which will provide convenient movement on uneven terrain. The robot has multiple features such as stability, surveillance and security.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableA Hexapod Robot will solve the balancing issues because two legged robots having more stability issues and consume more time in assembling. It also provides solutions to surveillance problems by using different equipment.
