Project Summary

The consequence of environmental pollution is the unavailability of fresh-water at homes and workplaces. The supplier companies become unable to provide germ free water and control water wastage. The to-be-developed IoT based android system will automate the delivery of fresh-water as well as control the wastage. The installed sensor will detect the threshold limit of water quantity in bottles, and then generate a notification for the required action. This system will make the customer and supplier freer for order and budget management.

Project Objectives

  • The goal of our project is to reduce the water related diseases and mitigate the risks involving the storing of water.
  • Monitor the water level of the dispenser automatically.
  • It will provide faster, easier and cost-effective management.
  • The goal of the water supplying companies is to expand their business and minimize drinking water wastage.
  • In this way, fresh water will be used by the clients and there will be no more headaches to store a backup of water bottles which can result in a lot of dangerous circumstances.
  • The supplier doesn’t have to go every day to every single client’s location to check whether they require more water or not. Which ultimately will reduce their resource consumption.

Project Implementation Method

The capacitive sensor senses the threshold by finding capacitance Node Mcu board is our WIFI or controller and it is attached with sensor. senor connect with WIFI and send data on server. Pub sub architecture has three parts Topic, Publisher and Subscriber. You can set the topic let you set the topic uol/grc. If You set the topic uol/grc/room5 it is particular. You set the topic according to you. You can use / for particular topic. Topic consist on one publisher and one subscriber. Node mcu start publishing data on topic and inform about current level of water. The company subscribe that topic and one company can subscribe multiple topic at a time. When mcu publish data, it stores on server and company access that data using pub sub architecture. Server handle that data internally server also called broker. Broker check all subscriber on particular topic and send data to them. when subscriber receive data then he uses it and perform any action like notification or alert. And in case of Order then mobile app publish data on the publisher and company is subscriber in this case.

  • In this way, fresh water will be used.
  • Reduce the resource consumption by automatting.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

There will be a hardware device (kit) which will contain capacitive sensor using ESP-32 ,ICs, OLED etc. which will be placed on the bottle of the water dispensor to monitor the water levels in real time. There will be a web application as well as android application.
