Gesture Based Robotic Hand
Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryWe are hope to just make prototype of robotic hand. robotic hand and control it through glove which has flex sensors mounted and Android Application via wireless connection. Andiord app is use to control the hand and can be store some useful activities of hand as we define. To increase the use of robots in medical where so many patients who are disable in hand after going through accidents or sustained neurological damage. We can make robots which follows the instruction of human operator and perform the task. In this way decisions are taken according to the working condition by the operator and task is performed by the robots.
Project ObjectivesThe main objective of this project is to investigate the characteristic and performance of the development of an artificial robot hands to mimic the human hand.
- To facilitate the paralysed patient whom exercises are recommended by the doctor.
- Low-cost Robotic Hand that can be controlled by Android Application.
- This project will serve as an apparatus that is capable of moving human hand
- To develop hands that can perform powerful grasping and manipulation of human designed tools and interfaces.
The anatomy of the hand is extremely complex, intricate, and fascinating, probably the most complex of all the joints in the body. There are several important tendons that cross the wrist. Tendons connect muscles to bone. The tendons that cross the wrist begin as muscles that start in the forearm. Those that cross the palm side of the wrist are the flexor tendons. They curl the finger and thumb, and they bend the wrist. The flexor tendons run beneath the transverse carpal ligament (mentioned earlier). This structure lies on the palm side of the wrist. This band of tissue keeps the flexor tendons from bowing outward when you curl your fingers, thumb, or wrist.
Benefits of the ProjectTo facilitate the paralysed patient whom exercises are recommended by the doctor.
Robotic Hand that can be controlled by Android Application.
Robotic Hand that can be controlled by Glove which has flex sensors mounted.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableIn this project the deliverables will consist of the input as equipment (e.g software components explained above) then there will be a process (i.e. development phases in which development will be completed) applied on the input and then as a result there will be an output (Project being completed “ Gesture Robotic Hand”).
