Geometry Dash is a desktop-based indie/infinite runner gamer which will be developed in Unity3D engine with better graphics and user interactivity. Furthermore, the game will have maximum user interactivity with features such as, Volume control, Graphics management, Resolution Management, along with Full screen toggle option. Moving on, upon the completion of this project it will contain all the features of an entertaining game including progressive terrains/maps, as well as different game objects and variety of obstacles. The most important objective is to develop an interactive, creative, realistic game which can be optimized as per requirement of the player. Some of the important objectives are:
Geometry Dash will be implemented using the 3D system of Unity. All map designing will be based on unity. C# will be used as scripting language which is supported by unity. Furthermore, all the animations will be done on unity using the Animator system. We will be using unity collision system to detect any activity between game object and obstacles.
The motive for this project was how much the game industry has expanded over the years especially last few years which provides many opportunities for the upcoming students to expand their skills and perhaps become a game developer. Moving on, more than any project in computer science game development is the only field which enhances the overall creativity of a student making it easier for them to troubleshoot problems.
The final deliverable will include a fully functioning game with all the files already pre built into it. This also includes all the prefabs and libraries, assets that were used to complete this project.
