Our main aim is to automate course planning and to make a perfect degree planner by applying different algorithms by creating a single unified platform based on new technology which handles the university’s administrative and educational needs.

We are creating this software by keeping in view the university’s demands and needs.

This software will help students, University advisors, teachers and administration in many ways such as creating degree plan for students, create ease for administration through automating their manual tasks.

Project Objectives

objectives of our project are:

  • Overcome work load for students.
  • Create degree plan for students with following possibilities:
  • Different courses offered for different batches
  • Different degrees with different courses.
  • Same courses in different degrees.
  • Same courses with different course code.
  • Create semester plan for students:
      • Which will predict expected GPA to get required CGPA.
      • Which will tell student their required marks of specific course.
  •  Information about Pre requisites.
  • Specific difficulty level for each semester.
  • Time table suggestion for students.
  • Suggest university which will enforce departments to offer extra courses in order to avoid delay in degree.

Project Implementation Method

This system will operate on an Android mobile OS as well as on some browsers including:

  • The database we will use is of firebase.
  • For the Android software we will use React Native.
  • For the website, we will use React.
  • The software only supports English language so anyone who does not know it will not be able to use this software.

For this project, we will have to understand and fully study university degree planning system. The requirements specified in this document are from what we know now. But once we study the current system more deeply, maybe our requirements will change a little.

Benefits of the Project

The system is quick and has a very fast response, the system will be able to connect to the database very quickly and retrieve information about changes as quickly as possible. Whenever, the user will refresh a page or will open a page, the system will show the most up to date information

System has login mechanism so that data will be protected from unauthorized sources.

This system has high availability because it is free to use by the SSCIT people. It is available on Android which makes it more available. Also, the academic website has high availability. This system is also maintainable and will be kept maintained in future. It’s easy to use and user friendly. Once, the users start using the system, they will easily adapt to it and will find it easy. The system is also portable as anyone can access a website from anywhere and anyone can use a mobile from anywhere.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

FINAL deliverable will be a software which will provide an automated system for university to generate degree planner which will be more accurate and saves more time.

it will be consisted of website and mobile app.
