Project Summary

We want to make a prototype, that will be a Mobile Application . It will help PAKISTAN's SNGPL (SUI NORTHERN GAS PIPELINES LIMITED) to monitor and check gas pressure and consumption of different areas simultaneously.

SNGPL takes pressure reading manually by sending their operators that maybe less quality of pressure data , time taking , health and safety risks to technicians/operators and carbon footprint for data collection.

We want that SNGPL may also monitor the consumption of any area . Because another problem being faced by SNGPL is distribution of gas to Industrial,Commercial and Domestic Sectors .

Project Objectives

The main objective of this project is to reduce the problems that are faced by SNGPL like taking pressure reading manually,distribution of gas according to the usage of any area , time consuming , health and safety risk.

Project objectives :

  1. Gas pressure Monitoring .
  2. Gas consumption Monitoring.
  3. Leakage Detection.
  4. Pressure Management.
  5. Real time Monitoring .
  6. Reduce time consumption.
  7. Reduce health and safety risks .

Project Implementation Method

Tools and techniques for this project are :

  1. React Native
  2. JavaScript
  3. Arduinos and Sensors
  4. Hardware module

React Native platform will be used to develop application that will run on both android and IOS . Application will get pressure and consumption of gas from data base and show to SNGPL .

Arduino will be used in this project, Arduino is an open-source hardware and software company . It will access data from sensors and using esp8266 wifi module send gas data to database .

 Pressure and flow sensors will be used to measure pressure and consumption of gas .

Benefits of the Project

This project have very wide scoop , SNGPL will be able to monitor gas pressure of different areas on mobile application in their office or field .Not only this they will also be able to monitor the gas consumption of any area and according to that they can maintain pressure of gas in these area . As one of the main reason of gas shortage in some areas is due to distribution .

  1. SNGPL will monitor Gas pressure  .
  2. Gas consumption will  also be monitored.
  3. Pressure at any area will be managed according to its consumption .
  4. Real time readings of gas Pressure and consumption will  be known.
  5. Rain or storm will not effect this process .
  6. Leakage at the point where hardware will  be installed will be  Detected..
  7. Management of gas pressure will be done .
  8. Time consumption while taking pressure reading manually will be reduced .
  9. Health and safety risks will be reduced

Technical Details of Final Deliverable
