FPGA Based Spectrum Analyzer will take the input signal (upto 1 MHz). The input will be protected and passed through a low pass filter prior analog to digital conversion. The digital signal will be adjusted for level/div inside the display controller (FPGA based). The display controller also receives information of frequency band selection for display. The input signal after level / div adjustment will then pass through a DFT translator. The DFT signal will be synchronized with display sweep which contains information of band selection. The Fourier transformed signal will be displayed on a VGA monitor.
As the project is purely based on simplicity and with all these modifications it should be easily available in market with a very small amount of cost and the features that we used is that everyone make this home friendly as he used this analyzer with his LCD or monitor to display the results.
As the project FPGA based frequency spectrum analyzer. This will be displayed on some screen or monitor using fast fourier transform. Algorithm is implemented on FPGA known as Field Programmable Gate Array after digitizing the analog input. This frequency spectrum analyzer is able to measure input signal up to 10 MHz frequency. First we adjust the amplitude and frequency with according to our requirements as bandwidth of signal. The first block is the input signal ADC that will be used to convert analog signal to digital signal as we know. After this the same signal will be generate on FPGA in such way that they get synchronized with each other after that the final output will be displayed on VGA monitor.
