Project Area of Specialization Software EngineeringProject SummaryThe existing LMS system only provides the modules of attendance, registration form, download registration forms. There is no module for uploading the result, update the result. It does not provide a platform for the teachers to supervise the relevant project on LMS. The LMS does not consist of different modules which will allow the smooth execution of the project related activities in the department. Students are not able to update and check the status of their project, marks, date and time of important events such as presentation, discussion, and document submission using this system. These are the some major problems which we want to overcome with the help of PMS. PMS provides different portals for every individual of the department to collaborate smoothly with the system.
PMS (Project Management System) will be a web based system that will be integrated with the existing LMS of the university, to provide facilities in managing final year projects in the department of CS&IT. The system will consist of different modules which will allow the smooth execution of the project related activities in the department. PMS will provide portals for different users like Admin, In-Charge Project Committee, Student, Committee Members, Project Supervisors and External Examiner. The system will keep its users informed by sending alerts to them on regular basis. Student will be able to update and check the status of their project, marks, date and time of important events which include presentation, discussion, and document submission using this system. Supervisor and external examiner will mark/grade the projects and update the result on the system. System will allow users to download different templates like Software Requirement Specification, Proposal format, view coments , print different reports etc.

Project Implementation MethodFor front end development we use dreamweaver, sublime, larval software tools. For the development of back end, we use Mysql, apache, wamp server. Then we connect both of these to make an efficient website for our project.

The existing software application does not consist of different  modules which will allow the smooth execution of the project related activities in the department. Students are not able to update and check the status of their project, marks, date and time of important events such as presentation, discussion, and document submission using this system. These are the some major problems which we want to overcome with the help of PMS.
PMS will be a web based application that will help students to view suggested project if any that can also submit their own proposal to specific supervisor if they want to. Supervisor can view student’s progress under his supervision, generate important notification include presentation, discussion, and document submission and valuate students work. External examiner will mark/grade the projects and update the result on the system.
