Project Summary

The topic for thesis is derived from the researcher personal traits and mainly from inspirations. The researcher is inspired by the nature and nostalgia, which relates nature and nostalgia somehow. As the nature repeats yearly it creates a nostalgic affect in human psychology. Memories are reflection of nostalgic experiences we had. They might be the stories told by our elders or by reading the book in the past while reading or listening to these stories and creating the fantasy characters and surrounding in our mind, which creates an attachment that is un separable these attachment defines who we are and who we want to be, And how we might want to live. By compiling all of it according to the researcher, he wants to live a life of ancestors as he is highly inspired. And these all things give us inspirations and these inspirations give us new ideas. What is to be designed is multipurpose portable box in which there is a camp which can be used by travelers to change their cloths not only for travelers also used by celebrities on event. The idea is derived from nomad settlements. And to reincarnate some product for today’s modern world which will be minimal and portable. The first product is Portable dressing camp these camps are used during travelling and used as portable vanity and changing rooms in outlets and the second product is portable table and chairs which are used as accessories for various purposes. The concept of the products is very useful and something new.

Project Implementation Method

The production of process will be divided into several steps. The following products are achievedThrough different practices which include market research of metals, digital prints etc.  

All products are portable in terms of theme. The portable tent needed to have a stand that will be portable and similar to the table and stool. for the manufacturing of portable products researcher  had to do a lot of market research. and have to visit many workshops not only in Quetta  but also other cities. The advantage of market research was that enough contacts were made and with the help of these contacts then researcher reach to the person who will make such a portable stand.

Digital prints is one of the main essential thing because the beauty of the product depends on it researcher focuses that which kind of prints were suitable for product and give aesthetic looks.Researchers have designed such prints which give appealing aesthetic. After designing of digital prints  The researcher will set the prints and then emailed to the person who live in hyderabad and  prints will be printed in a few days and then researcher have to go Hyderabad for checking the prints. The cutting and stitching of the camp will done by the researcher himself the researcher has a good command in stitching, so he took full advantage of it. Equal measurement is very important for camp cutting. Even a piece if wrong cut it makes trouble, therefore the researcher carefully measured and cut all the parts. After cutting, stitching was done keeping in view the technicalities. second product which is a movable bag + stool and quite challenging,  also quite technical it has a hexagon shape bag + stool and it had to be stitched in such a way that it looked like a bag and a stool too. Inside the bag there is place to carry all the rods of portable camp for that purpose rubber band was attached around the bag. The stitching of the bag is done in such a way that the stitches are not to be seen.

Benefits of the Project

These products should be used in outdoor so the product is multipurpose portable and moveable tyre bag in which there is a camp which can be used by travelers to Change their cloths not only for travelers and also for many other purpose. These Products are mainly made up from textile materials such as parachutes, Velcro, zip etc and iron rods are used to make it stand. Digital prints are designed according to the topic which makes the product aesthetically appealing.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

 The researcher aims to show how inspirations give us new ideas and how we Convert are ideas into real form, idea needs to solve some kind of a problem or fill a need in order to be workable. Basically the purpose of making these portable setup is to identify the gap filled  and the production process has been divided into several steps  .All products were portable in terms of the theme. The portable tent needed to have a stand that is portable and similar to the table and stool.

These final products actually showing the concept of portability and the concept is something innovative and never been used before. All the prints use in these products is justifying the theme this was the big achievement and the prints are looking remarkable and enhance the looks of products. The researcher gaining the skill of doing this type of technical work  stitching by himself which saved the money as well as added more originality in the products. The entire products are unique.
