In recent times women and gender equality have gone hand in hand and have been a topic of discussion. Our society is divided into two factors

Allow women to compete in the society and earn bread.

Let women stay at home and be a homemaker.

In both the cases we cannot outlook the tensions and daily struggles a woman has to go through daily whether she is at home or outside. The safety of woman has always been the concern in our country but is not highlighted on important forums as others.

To tackle this problem, we came up with a proposed application that we believe can become a woman’s hand on guide to her daily routine and the problems that come with it. This application will provide a complete guide to women about her health as well as making sure of their safety.

In this proposed application a person can notify his/her loved ones if he/she feels is not secure while travelling or in any other circumstance by sending location and a distress message with a single touch moreover people can see each other’s live location if they have the application installed.

Other than this a woman can check on her upcoming menstrual cycle by telling the application about her previous menstrual cycle date and the duration of it, stay fit through learning exercises such as yoga, learn about pregnancy and check guidelines on how take care of herself during those months.

Project Objectives

As an independent nation, we must ensure respect and security of women and we cannot deny them this basic right. It is now time to initiate action to eradicate the menace of security issues as well as the issues that are still considered taboo in our society with women.

Comparing to other applications, our application gives more security and also provides a user with various features within a single application rather than installing different application for different purposes whether it may be regarding their security concerns or fitness or checking on their personal hygiene.

Project Implementation Method

For FYP-1 we proposed to develop the mentioned features such as:

1. Enter 2 to 3 contact numbers and sending them distress message and location in case of emergency.
2. Monthly tips and guidelines to follow or remember in pregnancy. 

For FYP-2 we proposed to develop the other two of the mentioned features i.e.

1. Predicting the upcoming menstrual cycle by asking the user about their last menstrual cycle and its duration.
2. Simple yoga exercises with visual representation to keep yourself fit.

Benefits of the Project

Our Project was proposed as a women centric application but looking at the bigger picture some of the features can be utilised not by only women but men and children as well which includes SOS message adn Live Location feature. Moreover some of the features in the application were developed keeping the essence of women centric applicaton in mind which includes Pregnancy Guidelines and Period Tracker

Technical Details of Final Deliverable
