Exploration of Web Image Search Results is an online web based tool designed for exploration of image search results in an interactive way. The tool takes textual query as input from user, forward it to particular selected image search engine that provides images along with meta data (possibly Google, Flicker or Bing), retrieve the image search results from that search engine and rank them. The tool then, arrange the images in a cubic representation based on textual similarities with user’s query. Cubic representation enables the horizontal, vertical and indepth browsing of the search results interactively.

Provide more relevant set of images against the user query.

Implementation:

Firstly,we will retrieved images from a search engine by calling its API. The retrieved images will be displayed in grid presentation. Then, we will rank the retrieved images. A three dimensional cube will be constructed and ranked images will be arranged in cube, where user can explore those images.

Being an interactive tool, it provides convenient interface to the user for exploring images.

Provide horizontal, vertical as well as in-depth browsing of the retrieved search results.  

Provide two representations for displaying images, grid and cubic presentations.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Online web based tool that can retrieve images from online source, rank those images, arrange those images in rid presentation as well as cubic presentations and allow user to explore images in cube interactively.
