Smart floor that generates renewable energy from a simple act of human footstep. Convert weight into electrical power, more the people walk on the floor, more the electromagnetic flywheel will spin, more electrical energy will produce that can be used to light our cities. Electrical energy is stored in the batteries and monitored through IoT.
Flooring system that transfers the kinetic energy of pedestrians into electrical energy and data. As people step on the top surface, their weight causes generators underneath the tiles to rotate, generating off-grid power via electro-magnetic induction.Energy is monitored and shared.
Project can be installed in places where there are congested padestrian walkways. For example footpaths, shopping malls, railway stations, university entrance etc. The implementionis pretty simple we just need to place the system in the desired place and it will start generating eletricity. Each station is linked with other stations and the load is shared between them if required.
Green energy harvested from surrounding environment can serve a vital role in human life. The inclusion of green energy in gradually replacing the energy obtained through traditional the fossil fuels. Depending upon the viability and suitability of available resources, a variety of methods have been incorporated to exploit the green energy. Here, we introduce an electromechanical energy harvesting concept that efficiently transduces the kinetic energy through human walking steps on regular floor into electrical energy. In our designed system every single generator can extract electrical power up to 7W and 0.4A through each single foot step which is much higher than the conventional piezoelectric system. The battery will always be in charging state because of load sharing.
Utilizing the kinetic energy from human footfall and convert it to electrical energy.When people walk on the floor, linear displacement will take place, this linear motion will be converted to rotatory motion of the flywheel using gears. Alternator is connected to each mechanical structure. Total 4 alternators are used in the system.Energy through alternators is stored in a battery and displayed using arduino. Each footstep is giving 3W of power. The output of each alternator is also showed through 12V dc light. . Data is stored in cloud and use to monitor and share load between stations
