So, here come renewable energy technology, which can harvest renewable energy and apply it on electronic devices. There are some energy which is commonly harvested from human body, for example, vibration energy, thermal energy, pressure energy and so on. Although we can not harvest large amount of these energy, but we can use it to extend the life of device's battery.
The purpose of this project focuses on harvesting energy by using piezoelectric material. Piezoelectric material used in this project is piezoelectric plate, it will be placed under flour mats. When human apply pressure on the plate, electrical energy will be generated and converted into DC and store into a battery. Therefore, whenever user walks, runs or jump on the piezoelectric flow, energy will be harvested and stored. The output is to charge battery with piezoelectric material and make the battery last longer for any application.
Project Objectives.To analyze electrical performance of piezo energy.
• To develop a model of piezoelectric energy harvester system for crowd area.
• To verify the reliability of model and energy harvester base.
Project Implementation MethodThis project focuses on designing energy harvesting system using piezoelectric disc. As B know know days the issue of retrograde electricity and pollution is proportional to each other but stil the demand is on the peak so B need some sort of solution which resolve these issues, so this project uses piezoelectric disk as an energy harvester that harvest energy from vibrations and pressure of people walking on the floor. It use capacitor as energy storage element. This project also uses four diode functions as full bridge rectifier to convert AC voltage from piezo disc to DC voltage. Zener diode is used as a protection for capacitor. For the lighting system, it uses light emitting diode (LED). The reliability of the system will be verified from the experiments by considering the output voltage and current.
Benefits of the ProjectAt the end of the project, piezoelectric footstep energy harvester has been implemented and improved. It is proved that the energy is able to be used to power or charge the load and lighting will be provided in the response at the drak.
