Emergency vehicles priority traffic control signals
In the current era, the population of the countries has been increased day by day so the number of cars and motorbikes also increasing on the roads day by day. Therefore, due to this the traffic issues also increase, as we know that due to traffic issues accidents ratio also increase so to deal with such type of problems we bring a smart traffic light system by using an RFID tag with an emergency alert message system. We bring such system in which when an accident happens anywhere then suddenly an alert message will generate with GPS location and will reach to the ambulance driver then in next part when an ambulance came near to the traffic signals then RFID receiver will receive signals from the ambulance or from fire brigade car then RFID receiver will work and turns the red light of traffic signals into green light and will remain the other roads close. On the other hand, in a normal way, the traffic signals will change automatically turn by turn after some specific time like after 20sec or after 30 sec.
This system helps to control traffic lights of two-way road. The primary focus is to add a special feature of emergency vehicle control after developing a general-purpose traffic control system. This system operates 6 lights and the sequence of lights for each road. This system is the demand of the modern era and a smart city. In this project, an emergency response system will be installed in the cars and on roads; there is an RFID sensor, which will track any emergency vehicle with an RFID tag. The sensors are connected to the Arduino in such a way that they act as input signals to the Arduino. An emergency vehicle can be detected on a road in two scenarios. In the first scenario, road 1 is already green. After detecting an emergency vehicle, the Arduino will keep; the green light of road 1 activated and will activate the red lights of the other roads. In the second scenario, where road 1 is red, and let us assume that road 2 is green. Then the Arduino will activate the red light of road 2 and change the red light of road 1 into green light.
This system will have following implemenation methods by using different modules.
In this system, we will do programming and these programming traffic lights will work according to the specific time limit after this limit red light will automatically change into green light of every way and traffic will move.
Arduino Uno is the main element of this project nothing will be done without Arduino because all programming data will be stored in Arduino and Arduino will react according to our demand or instructions.
We will use GSM and GPS module in our project to get the exact location of the accidental car. An emergency alert message will generate through car when accidental happen anywhere in which google map location will also present through which ambulance will reach without wasting of time.
This module is also very important because RFID will sense or receive signals from the emergency vehicles (ambulance, fire brigade) and then it will send information or signals to the Arduino to change the light in order to that easily pass the emergency vehicles.
The Project will control the traffic in a very simple and easy way. It will reduce human and effort and will be time saving.
System will work fine. Desired output will be generated.
