Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe need to measure current per electronic appliance is a problem. We will use current sensors to measure the current per electronic appliance . Objective of project is to measure the power consumption per device and make a log of it and keep user up to date on their phones. The electric meter measures the overall current , so that we cannot predict which device uses how much current. People can easily measure which device use how much current just by tapping on the android application. They can also cross check their electric bills and can verify them. Quarrels on the families for electric bill consumption can also be solved as this app can show which person’s device uses how much electricity. How much power a device is consuming ?
Project ObjectivesObjective of project is to measure the power consumption per device and make a log of it and keep user up to date on their phones. How much power a device is consuming ? user can check it simply on his phone.
Project Implementation MethodWe will use current sensors i.e ACS712 to measure the current per electronic appliance . Arduino Mega to communicate with the sensors and with the android application.Also use controlling sensors.
The app will bee based on cross platform technologies React native , nodejs ,mongodb the MERN stack.
Benefits of the ProjectThe home users can easily monitor control and measure their devices and electricy on their smartphones.
They can generate their bills , corss check and verify them.
Quarrels between the families can also be resolved by using tis device and application.
In future it can be integrated as a chip inside every device.
We can control the entire nation and gain analylicts statistics about each n everyone device's and their electric usage etc.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe Electro X app will first connect with the IOT device which is connected with home appliances and sends data to the app with the help of wifi/bt module so that users can track measure monitor and control their devices, measure their electricity consumption and view their bills.
