Foods can be dehydrated by various means: the sun, a conventional oven, an electric dehydrator, a microwave oven (for herbs only), air drying and solar drying. Dehydration, like other preservation methods, requires energy. Unless sun drying is possible where you live, the energy cost of dehydrating foods at home is higher than for canning and, in some cases, more expensive than freezing. There are some methods for dehydrating

2. Oven drying
3. Microwave drying
4. Air drying
5. Sun-drying is not recommended in the midwest due to high humidity
Here we will discuss dehydration through Electrical dehydrators . Electrical dehydrator produces a better-quality dried product than any other method of drying. Electric dehydrators are self-contained units with a heat source, a ventilation system, and trays to place the food on. When using a dehydrator, load food on trays in single layers so that pieces do not overlap. This arrangement allows air to circulate through the trays. Large pieces, such as apricot halves, should be turned halfway through the drying time. Pieces near the sides of the tray should be moved to the center. Stir small pieces every one to two hours, separating bits that stick together. It may be necessary to rotate the trays within the dryer at least once during the drying period to ensure uniform drying

Project Implementation MethodMicrocontrooler is the brain here it will controll all the process going on that which prcess will be done
when and for how much time and what will be out put will be of specific elements. we will give the ac
supply which s direct given to heater driver, fan driver and potential transformer. Heater driver and fan
driver are connected with controller through which heater's heat and fan's speed will be controlled.
Moreover humidity sensor,temperature sensror,air flow sensor led and voltage are also connected with
controller. Through which which came to know product ehich will dehydrated time ,humidity and time
that how much it will take to dehydrate. All the sensors are conected with signal conditioning through
which they will be work.Next to the heater there will be pipe for the flow of hot ai to dehydrate the
product air will be passed through these pipes and the dehydrator body where the food is located on
trays and on the body of dehydtrator there are also humidity and temperature through which we came
to know moisture in the product and time for the dehydration and for humidity setting,temperature
setting and for air flow setting there are setting points on controller through which w will controll them.
By this process we can dehydrate food within less time than the older methods . Food through this process will be stored for long and have same nutrients amd flavors
We will not have to keep an eye on the food being dehydrated we just need few hours not the days like the old ways of dehydration.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableBy the process of dehydration we can deserve food for a long time and store it for a long period of time with out attack of bacteria amd yeast. Moreover the food will have the same nutrients and flavor. When the food is placed in dehydrator by the flow of hot air in the dehydrator moisture of the food extract out of food and size of food reduced and can be stored for long time span and have the same nutrients.
