Project Summary

Ekaam is an online marketplace that provides products as well as services.  This platform is unlike many other e-commerce platforms which provide a variety of products but the major emerging change that Ekaam brings is that it provides online services. Users can avail the facility of any service on our platform. Through service, we mean a whole new concept. It means the sellers are available with their field of expertise/specializations mentioned i.e. electrician, technician on their profiles. Users can contact any seller based on their needs. For example, if a user needs a technician at home, he/she will simply contact the seller online and get the problem solved. Users can buy products and can avail services simultaneously. In a better way, E-KAAM allows the users to not only purchase the products but also all co-related maintenance and other services.

Moreover, our system allows the following major functionalities to the user:

1. Users shall be able to use the app after registration.
2. The user shall be able to manage his profile like name, phone number, gender, region, email, and password.
3. Users shall be able to search the product and service by name.
4. Users shall be able to buy the products and services online.
5. The user shall add to the cart the required product or service.
6. Users shall be able to share their location through GPS.
7. Users shall be able to pay through a specific payment method.
8. Users shall be able to see the description of Products and services.
9. The user shall have an option to cancel the order.
10. The user shall be able to remove the items from the cart.
11. The user shall be able to give feedback.

Project Objectives

The purpose of E-KAAM is to facilitate online trade easily for both sellers and buyers. Providing a very comfortable service for its customers, by being able to save the item in the personal shopping bag and buy it later on.

• Buyers can submit feedback on products and services.
• Sellers can sell any service and product online by creating their profile.

Project Implementation Method

We’re basically using React Native to develop our mobile application. By using Expo we run it on ioS.

Firebase is being used to handle the database. The information regarding buyer, seller, products, and services is stored in the database. Through the firebase authentication aspect, passwords are stored in an encrypted form. Moreover, Visual studio code is used to write the code for the app.

• It is the first application that provides products and services online on one platform.
• This app will provide a large platform for online shopping and a vast number of jobs and business opportunities will be available for all sorts of people.

Business Opportunity:

Many people face the issue of unemployment nowadays even when they have the skills to do something. We came around people who are experts in giving some type of service to people, but they can’t imply that on any type of platform. E-KAAM is an online platform where users can get the advantage of their expert services. It is also a great opportunity for retailers who can expand their business using E-KAAM.

Saving Human Effort:

The inappropriate marketplace exhausts human resources as well as time. Manual marketplace shopping costs a lot of human effort and time. E-KAAM is an online platform where a person can avail of both the product as well as the service at one marketplace. Our application will provide a feature to customers who want to buy any product and service with one click.

• Also, Sellers will sell their products and services online after creating a profile.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We’ll be delivering the project in a soft form. Basically, it’ll run on the mobile systems. Users shall be able to operate the app through their mobile phones.  Our application will be available 24/7 with a working internet minimum of 3G. The application will be environment-based as it will be used only at the national level (in Pakistan). Before delivering the application we'll test the app through manual test cases and automation testing tools.
