EClassroom
E-Classroom serves educational institutions, professors, and students with a comprehensive online educational system. This system includes all of the administrative and supervisory features needed to set up and manage a virtual classroom, as well as a highly regulated and student-centered learning system that not only allows students and teachers to communicate effectively in an online classroom but also ensures their engagement and attention to the lecture. The suggested system includes all of the present elements found in video conferencing and online teaching systems, as well as missing capabilities such as student attention tracking, knowledge understanding, and topic awareness. Students' involvement during lectures is ensured via randomized attendance calls using pop-ups several times during the online session, as part of this online teaching system, which also includes fundamental online teaching functions. This integral objective of the system is to ensure that students are paying attention in class and that they are actively participating in lectures. This system has two components initially, to provide a conducive learning atmosphere for students and to serve as a viable substitute for physical education. Second, to set up a mechanism that assures that students are paying attention by randomized attendance popups. Furthermore, students must score their grasp of the topic and the instructor's response at the end of each lesson.
The main objective of the system and our mission statement is to build a complete and effective digital embodiment of a physical classroom along with the focused learning and student monitoring capabilities that it offers to ensure student attention and knowledge retention.
The features of this system are focused mainly on student engagement and supervision. This system tends to introduce a modified attendance system that generates popups at random intervals to get students’ responses within the speculated time.
E-Classroom takes screenshots of the video of each student and matches them with approved photographs to ensure that the right person is on the other side of the screen.
For regulatory purposes, the teacher will be given a complete and easily accessible logs section that will be automatically updated throughout the session. It will include information about students, such as when they entered and exited classrooms, their responses to each module, their chat history, and a filter that indicates the usage of prohibited language.
The most important feature which will help teachers to find out the level of knowledge delivery to the students and to assess them, this system will integrate a question-answer session.
Existing features in any video chat application and classroom software will be implemented like classroom creation and monitoring, notifications and lecture material upload, download, and video conference.
This system provides the same enclosed and isolated space that will be automatically supervised by the features provided by the system which is available in physical classrooms.
First, the teacher must log in and create a classroom before adding students to it. Students join the classroom and may be able to use the classroom's features.
The teacher has the ability to generate assignments, class materials, notifications, and live sessions. Students can view, download, and upload assignments, as well as view and download class materials and receive notifications and join live sessions.
Students' attendance will be tracked by generating random attendance pop-ups and taking screenshots of their screens to validate their presence.
E-Classroom will generate student-focused, run-time, filterable logs and will provide detailed, filterable information about class activities.
During the live session, students take notes, which are saved to their drive.
Teachers can begin a question-and-answer session at the end of each session to assess students' comprehension and knowledge of a specific topic.
The end product of "E-classroom" will be a web-based application as well as a documentation manual containing all of the application's technical specifics. It will be built using React Js, RTC, and the Firebase database. We will create a classroom that includes Google Classroom functionality as well as a video chat application. As discussed earlier, specialty of this project is to measure and enforce students’ attentiveness during the lecture.
