Health care is a fast-growing industry in Pakistan as well as abroad. If anybody is ill and wants to visit a doctor for checkup, he or she needs to visit the hospital and waits until the doctor is available. The patient also waits in a queue while getting appointment. If the doctor cancels the appointment for some emergency reasons, then the patient is not able to know about the cancelation of the appointment unless or until he or she visits the hospital. As the mobile communication technology is developing rapidly, therefore, now days everyone is using smartphone.
These days, Organization of a medical appointment scheduling systems is mandatory for an efficient medical scheme. For a person, the biggest burden is making an appointment and going to doctor’s office, because they know beforehand that they will be waiting. If they have more appointments, it is necessary to reduce or completely eliminate waiting time at medical institution. On the other hand, the doctors are busy people and want to use it efficiently.
We will develop an android doctor consultation and automatic appointment scheduling system where patient will have to sign-up first by adding some personal details. And numbers of doctors on the other hand also have to sign-up and create their profiles, so the patient can see their specialty and schedule appointment accordingly. On this system patient should get appointments and pay doctor fees on existing e-payment systems (Easypaisa & JazzCash etc.). And gets the token id for appointment. Patient can call the doctor (Video or Audio), so the doctor can easily understand the problem patient is having. Patient can video call the doctor on google meet link, provided by the doctor. Or simply call the doctor on his/her number. And patient can also get the prescriptions from doctor. If patient have serious issue, then doctor should recommend him to visit the hospital. If doctor had recommended the any test, then patient can submit the test report(blood test, MRI,Ultrasound stc…) on the system.
The main purpose of this app is to provide ease and comfort to patients while taking appointment from doctors and will also resolves the problems that the patients has to face while making an appointment. We will develop a project that will help patient schedule appointment automatically and to consult with doctor while staying at home. Patient will pay fees online and don’t need to visit the hospital or clinic for prescription or consultation.
Our application offers Quick booking, timely appointment’s confirmations, easy check-in and checkout, appointments review, daily, weekly or monthly summary of the visits, reduction of no-shows, appointment reminders. The appointment scheduling software supports online booking applications, so our patients can benefit from a comfortable way to set an appointment, remote accessibility of appointment schedule

There are many programing languages for online applications.. This is the Android development project. Java is the official language of android, kotlin is the cross platform of android. C++, C# and python are also a programing language of android. In this project we will use java as a programing language and firebase database. Firebase is a real time database.
The parameters which we will use to determine appointment’s scheduling quality are:
• Appointment duration
• Doctor’s idle time and overtime
• Patient’s waiting time between appointments
• Total number of appointments is certain period
To design our system we will use incremental software Model.Incremental Model is a process of software development where requirements are broken down into multiple standalone modules of software development cycle. Incremental development is done in steps from analysis design, implementation, testing/verification, maintenance.

The proposed work in this document is an Online Application that uses an android platform that will make the task of making an appointment from the doctor easy and reliable for the users. Android based online doctor appointment application “Doc at Home” will contain two modules. One module is the application designed for the patient that contains a login screen. The patient has to register himself before logging in to the application. After logging in, the patient will be able to select a hospital and can view the hospital details. The patient will have the option of selecting a doctor from the list of doctors and can view the doctor’s details. The patient will schedule an automatic appointment on his/her preferred day/time. The selected day/time slot will be reserved and patient will receive the notification of the successfully added appointment. The patient can view the location of the hospital on map. In addition, the patient can contact to the hospital and the doctor by making a call or may send an email to the doctor. Pay for appointment via e-payment method. Doctor will be able to write prescription and patient can get hat prescription on his side. Patient can generate whole report document. And can save for his record.
The second module will be the admin module that will be designed on the website. The admin views all details of doctors and all appointments by the admin. The admin can add doctor, view patient’s details and doctor’s details and can view appointments also. All the doctors of the specific clinic are registered by the admin. Doctors cannot register themselves.
