We might not notice but in today’s world our surrounding is overwhelmed by advertisements. At the same time are advertisements
are getting more and more ineffective because they are not targeted to proper audience. Hence the rule of seven in the digital marketing is not being followed. It states that a prospect needs to be exposed to a certain ad 7 times to decide on it.
This project takes care of that untargeted ads by implementing methods to analyze the audience in the surrounding to show ads specifically filtered for the audience. This makes the prospects more interested in the ads.
The objective of this project is to develop an intelligent system which can show specifically filtered ads for a specific type of audience/individual. To evolve the traditional method of “just showing” the ads irrespective of the surrounding. Making the old and somewhat futile method due to overwhelming of ads more effective.
The basic concept of this project is to perceive the audience
and based on their age and gender expose them to the advertisement that will matter to them. The camera will analyze the surrounding and every individual in it. The advertisement board will then show the advertisement according the label assigned to the individual and in case of multiple individuals the ad selection algorithm will come into play.
This product can be implemented in the aisles of the marketplace, pathways in the mall, shops.
The age and gender of every individual will be identified by a CNN. Once every individual in the frame is assigned an age and a gender

label then the male to female ratio will be calculated and we will get a dominating gender. After that the next decision is made based on age groups, a dominating age group will be identified. So, to target the maximum number of prospects this category of dominating age group and domination gender will be targeted.

A new marker was long due to set in digital marketing. This project focuses on showing the filtered ads to audience that would help in achieving the standards set by rule of seven. The main benefit is that targeted ads are much more affective and have a higher chance of fulfilling the function of an ad.
This project might overall seem like an advertisement board but with the help of the camera attached to a smart screen we can keep tabs on what kind of audience comes in the shop. Are one kind of customers constrained to one location only?
Shopping malls are generally play their cards in arranging the items in the mall. They scatter female products all over the aisle rather than arranging them collectively in a single “ladies’ aisle”. The reason for that is when women walk around the area in search for something, they generally end up buying more stuff that they didn’t even thought of buying in the first step.
So, this technology can help in checking if a certain category of shoppers are constrained to only certain area in the shop and if so place the products in that area to all over the aisles to maximize the time consumed of the shopper in the marketplace that would maximum the indirect product sale.
The final product will consist of an LCD screen, camera(raspberry pi v2), a computationally expensive device such as Jetson nano or raspberry pie (+ NCS). The deep learning model will run in Jetson Nano. Jetson Nano is preferred as compared to the NCS because it gives much better performance.
