Due to Covid-19,   people around the world faced a lot of crisis in healthcare. According to Dawn news Karachi was facing healthcare issues due to the OPD’s closure. Restrictions on appointments to avoid   public in hospitals caused a lot of issues. Travelling cost and stress is also one of the major problems which we think to solve through our idea. By using the concepts of  teleconsultation , AI and remote diagnostics , we come up with our solution .Digital OPD  aims to provide best healthcare to everyone globally. Our mobile application provides an interactive interface to the users   and disease prediction can be done by giving symptoms and images as input to our system. Our very next target is the implementation of functionalities for Doctor to Patient meeting and E-prescriptions. Moving forward, we will be implementing our Admin portal Outpatient department in detail, notifications and chats. Web App will have an Admin portal that can work as a complete management system for any hospital.

Project Implementation Method

Prediction of Diseases on The Basis of Provided Symptoms:

We have worked on different algorithms to compare the accuracy to select the desired one for Digital OPD. Thereby, below we have attached a chart to compare which algorithm predicts what disease while giving a specific set of symptoms. These patterns containing symptoms for each disease are the most common symptoms that the normal patient can think of disclosing. Thereby, the model is tested for these different patterns other than the original training dataset.

Front-end Development:

GUI of our mobile app is developed by using react native. React Native is an open-source UI software framework. We choose react native over flutter because, the speed of development is faster in it and it can be used for both android and ios applications.

Back-end Development:

Nodejs:

Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform, back-end JavaScript runtime environment that runs on the V8 engine and executes JavaScript code outside a web browser.

Framework: ADONIS JS:

AdonisJs is a Node. js MVC framework that runs on all major operating systems. IAdonisJS includes everything you need to create a fully functional web app or an API server.

We used Adonis JS to develop our Web app server and to write APIs that provides services to our front-end

Framework: PYTHON FLASK:

Flask is a micro web framework written in Python.

We used this framework to implement API services of our Machine Learning Models.
