Project Objectives
1. The objective of the attendance software is to reduce the time that is consumed when attendance is taken manually.
2. Unlike the manual process, an online system easily helps management to analyze student's attendance details as per requirement.
3. The purpose of the attendance management system is to help the administrators keep a track of students and staff.
4. Automated attendance management software can help administrators save time and money.
5. Such a system also reduces staff workload and increases efficiency.
1. The standard simulation was not done on this project because there is no library for the fingerprint and RFID on Proteus, Fritzing, Mutism, and other standard simulation tools. As a result, in the loop simulation, HIL (hardware-inthe-loop) was implemented. HIL is a technique for
developing and testing complex real-time embedded systems.
HIL simulation provides an active structure by transferring the control plant's complexity to the test platform. With the aid of the shield, it was easy to build and test the system.
2. A double-sided Vero board was used to make the total system circuit shield. The shield consists of all the ports needed to make it easy to plug and remove other modules from the Arduino Mega microcontroller. All the modules were tested individually using the shield and the
microcontroller. After trying all individually, then they were all assembled and coupled unto the shield. It makes it easier
to connect them and is less error-prone than to start joining a
wire to a Vero board.
Benefits of the Project1. Reliable Accuracy a manual system was used to record the working hours of employees.
2. Increased prodectivity by attendence:
The manual process is also prone to errors which can translate to payroll
errors.
4. Legal Compliance
Manual logging of time and attendance logging usually results in lots of errors that can
significantly cost your business a lot. Keeping inaccurate data is also illegal and it can
lead to litigations and fines.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable1. Educators need to install RFID device at various locations
2. The RFID devices are required to be connected to the RFID attendance server placed in the campus
3. Every student is given a personal RFID ID CARD with unique identification number
4. Student are required to show the RFID ID Cards to reader in every lecture to mark their attendance
5. The RFID device transfers the data to attendance server every 10 minutes
6. Faculty gets complete list of absent roll numbers before the end of lecture & they can verify the same
7. The student attendance record is updated daily on the attendance web server
8. Parents & students can login their ERP portal and view attendance.
