Development of the Smart Irrigation System Based On Real-Time Data for Sustainable Agriculture in Pakistan
The watering plant has become a burden in today’s modern world. Temperature, weather, minerals, amount of water, and time for watering the crop directly affect the growth of the crop. Farmers are still using old-school techniques in the agriculture sector. And because of old school techniques, they cannot get the proper result and they also waste resources. And they don’t have the data or any other way to record data and not any device where they can see live data like temperature, moisture level, Humidity. To overcome this problem we are automating the irrigation process, developing a mobile app for monitoring and to increase growth and they can save many resources like water, money, manpower, etc. The project is inspired by countries that are economically dependent Agricultural and climatic conditions cause insufficient rainfall and water shortages. Our country mainly relies on agriculture. Even if the farmland has a water pump that requires manual intervention by farmers to turn the pump on/off as long as needed. The purpose of this project is to use sensors to detect the dryness of the soil and provide appropriate water for plants. This project helps to maintain the plants very easily. We are testing soil moisture and irrigation needs.
1) Our main objective is to automate the irrigation system.
2) To save natural resources in terms of water fertilizers etc.
3) To save financial resources by reducing manpower, electricity cost, etc.
4) To inform farmers about soil moisture, ph level, and the right time for watering the crop and they can check the condition of the crop by checking the real-time data.

The benefits of this project are to overcome the effort, provide facilities and get the proper data on plants or crops. This system automates the process of pumping water to record the data like temperature, soil moisture level, humidity, and weather which are the important factors that affect the growth of crops.
This type of system can help the farmers directly control the irrigation process and because of the automation farmers can reduce the cost of farming. By recording the data they know when the crops or plant needs water. This type of system is feasible for both small and large areas. Farmer can monitor all the data on mobile applications in less time.
The expected results of this proposed system are to take real-time data from sensors and notify farmers about the temperature, ph level, and moisture level on a mobile app. Furthermore, Increase in productivity, and farmers can directly control the water pumping process from a mobile app and can check all the data related to crops and weather.
