In order to control speed of three phase induction motor a Programmable Logic Control (PLC) is programmed and to enhance its controlling abilities two modes are incorporated in it i.e. manual and automatic. A PLC is an industrial digital computer which has been adapted for the control of manufacturing processes, such as robotic devices, or any activity that requires high reliability control and ease of programming and process fault diagnosis. Before executing the program in real-time we simulate it in simulator (PLCSIM). Then we carefully set the parameters of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to avoid electrical damage to three phase induction motor. Then we interface VFD with the PLC and also with the induction motor. Then we interface PLC with SCADA and copy the input/output addresses from the PLC and paste them in the tag management section of SCADA. Then we make graphical screen for end user in the software (Graphics Designers) for SCADA. Thereafter we interface SCADA with Arduino UNO and program it to convert the number of pulses from the proximity sensor interfaced with the shaft of the induction motor. So through that we calculate the RPM of 3-phase induction motor. SCADA system also have the option to provide link for online accessing the graphical screen. We designed a mobile application for online accessing of the whole operation using internet. Finally we test the operation locally via input push buttons connected with the PLC and then operate it from SCADA screen. After that we also tested the operation from the mobile phone application through internet.
