Project Summary

The summary of the project is to develop the TiNiCu shape memory alloys through the powder metallurgy route. From the literature review, it is clear that 15 to 20 % porosity is present in already exist alloys prepared through the powder metallurgy route. The porosity should be decreased by changing the sintering temperature and compacting pressure. The mechanical properties of the developed alloys will be compared to already exist alloys prepared through the powder metallurgy route.

Other horizons are also explored regarding phenomenological models i.e., Sauza Aurrichio.

  • To reduce the porosity by changing the sintering temperature and compacting pressure.
  • To improve the mechanical properties by comparing with the already exist alloys.
