Project Summary

A Conventional Bike was converted to a functional Hybrid Electric Motor Bike with an electric powertrain, involving a mid-drive motor, a custom power source, and throttle speed control. A custom battery pack was designed to meet system performance specifications and fabricated using individual lithium-ion cells. Overall design parameters included: the form-factor of the power source, system performance in terms of speed and weight, torque and power provided by the motor and power source, the longevity of the battery pack, and compact integration of the powertrain into the existing Bike

Project Objectives

• New and Efficient design which is more easily convertible into the electric bike
• BMS provides better battery optimization, lesser charging time, and more discharging time
• Mid Drive motor usage rather than Hub Motor

Project Implementation Method

• Study of Conventional Electric Bikes
• Get to know about Brushless DC Motors
• The Complete Knowledge of the Controller of BLDC Motors
• Battery Management System RnD
• Li-ion Battery Performance 

First of all, we studied the engine of a Conventional Bike and its Gear Ratios in order to Convert it into Hybrid Bike.

Then we Combine together the BLDC Motor and Match the RPMs with Desired RPMs of the Engine.

Also, We made Custom Battery Pack for better performance and Range.

We make so many Mechinal Changes to the Bike's Body in order to get our Final Design working.
