Design Development of IoT based Smart Kitchen
Restaurants require customers to wait for a long time to receive their order. People also return to their homes and need to prepare their food. The solution to the proposed problem is an IoT-based Smart kitchen. The Robotic Kitchen allows us to save time, free up our days from routine cooking, plan and adapt our menus to suit various diets and lifestyles, enjoy foreign cuisine at any time, track calories, and get culinary ideas and recipes from professionals across the world. Robotic kitchens save time and aid in the completion of any kitchen-related task.
The aim of the project is to develop a IoT based Smart Kitchen that is able to cook and plate food autonomously. The project prototype shall be able to cook up to four different types of pasta with in-built storage capability of ingredients of five plates. The prototype also includes an induction plate for heating, and a mixer.
There are four main components:
The project fundamentally aims at reducing the human efforts at the kitchen by automating many of the possible work. The project aims to bring about a change in both food industry and everyday life by an automated process which shall require minimum human interventions. The process would be fast and time saving and will be able to revolutionize the conventional cooking habits.
The final prototype will be smart IoT device which shall be controlled through an App. The customer can order customized with setting or with preset setting. After the order, the storage components will drop the ingredients in pot in order of the recipe while at the same time the mixer shall start to mix the food. After the pasta has been cooked, the mixer stops will the pot moves to the plating area and then rotates while dropping the food upon the plate.
