Design and Fabrication of Tele Operated Garbage Collection Robot for Recreational Parks
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject Summary- We design Tele-Operated mobile Robot for collection of Garbage in Recreational Parks. Robot is controlled through wireless communication over Wi-Fi. Garbage is collected through a Robotic Arm having three degree of freedom. IoT based Platform is used for the control of Robot. Garbage is collected through Robotic Arm and is disposed off in a detachable bucket which is detached after it is full and Garbage is discharged.
Garbage Collection Robot has following objectives:

To design and fabricate a Robot that collects Garbage from recreational parks.
- To design and fabricate a robotic arm to pick and drop Garbage.
- To interface electronic devices using Wi-Fi module.
•In sequence, the method is identification of the needs required. Then these needs are analyzed to get specific components. These components are later integrated to get the desired output.
•Operations of Robot are controlled by user using Wi-Fi module. IoT based platform is used to control operations of Robot.
• Project Implementation Method can be classified into four main categories;
1. Camera for real time display.
2. Movement of the robot.
3. Collection of Garbage.
4. Disposal of Garbage.
• Camera for real time display:
Camera is mounted at front of the robot to get real time display on laptop. Real time display is displayed on the mobile or laptop using application for camera.
• Movement of the robot:
4 wheel drive (with independent motors) is used for movement of robot from one place to another.
• Collection of Garbage:
Garbage is collected using robotic arm actuated by servo motors. Robotic arm pick the garbage and drop it in detachable bucket. Operations of Robotic arm is controlled wirelessly using Wi-Fi module.
• Disposal of garbage:
Bucket is detached and garbage is disposed off. Detachable bucket is mounted on the base of the robot.

- This project can reduce amount of garbage in recreational parks.
- More people will be attracted if the garbage is disposed off properly.
- Clean Surroundings.
- Less human effort.
Our Robot will collect garbage in recreational parks. Robot will be operated by the user using Wi-Fi communication. Robotic arm with 3DoF will pick the garbage and drop it in the detachable bucket placed on the base frame of robot. For real time display camera is mounted at the front of the robot.
