An elevator or lift is a type of vertical cable transportation machine that moves people 
or freight between floors, levels, or decks of a building, vessel, or other structure. Elevators are 
typically powered by electric motors that drive traction cables and counterweight systems such as a 
hoist, although some pump hydraulic fluid to raise a cylindrical piston like a jack.
In agriculture and manufacturing, an elevator is any type of conveyor device used to lift materials 
in a continuous stream into bins or silos. Here in this project we are going to make a lift for two 
floor house to transport the people. Which is based on mechanical operating system.

Project Implementation Method


 Our project mainly focused on small houses to transport people from one floor to 
another. In addition it can be used in industries to transport people and luggage. It can be used in 
shops. The last and the most important one fulfillment is to implement where electricity is not 
available

Benefits of the Project

1)To reduce electrical power
2)To save people's time. If a person uses stairs it takes much more time so it also saves time. 
3) It provides facility to the old aged people. They can easily move from one floor to another. floor. 
And it also helps the patients those who haven't much strength to walk through stair.
4) It is also less expensive and economica

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

In this we are going to use pure mechanical components to reduce cost and to make affordable for everyone .

Frame to provide floor for people and goods 

Gearing mechanism to reduce mechanical effort 

Cable to support and for pulling up and down 

Pully to apply force in right direction 

By using these a heavy man can lift himself  by applying small force without any power cost
