Jominy End-Quench Machine is a Testing machine for hardenability testing of steel grades. For testing, a compact machine is required to do gradual quenching on the red hot specimen and thus the steel Structure is further observed by electron microscope for its changes in Microstructure and compared to the testing standard given by ASTM. The machine objectives are the same as provided in the standard ASTM A220-1. Apart from testing, the water conservation Mechanism will Also be adapted to meet the recent SDG Goals, by which compact design and less material usage along with water conservation will be our main goal.
primary objective of this project is to test hardenability of the specimen and further do microscopic analysis.

Analysis will be done of hardenability of the Specimen which will be of any steel grade.
this Analysis Would lead to Microscopic Analysis of the Specimen.
afterwards, the water conservation will be made possible by implementing Heat Exchanger calculations.
water will be conserved by using 2 tanks. Overhead tank and other will be the collection Tank.
Overhead tank will allow us to provide water for quenching process. and the Collection tank will Collect the Quenched Water and Cooled down with the help of a Heat exchanger and resupplied to the Over head Tank using Pumps.
Steel will be analyzed after done with heat treatment and Quenching process. Microscopic Analysis will be next Part.
