Project Area of Specialization Mechanical EngineeringProject SummaryThis project dwells on the implementation of automatic wheelchair convertible into sitting, standing and bed position. The automated wheelchair currently available in our domestic market are generally is for too and fro motion. The basic idea of over project is to aid the hospitalized, partially paralyzed patient for make their life ease. In this project we will use hydraulics actuator motors and PID controller for the changing the mode of wheelchair. The hydraulic will control its position, the actuator motor will assist the motion of wheelchair and PID controller will control the whole system in an automated way.
Project Objectives1. To design an automatic wheel chair that is automatically convertable into sitting, standing and in bed position.
2. To help the paramedics in their daily routine to deal with patients.
3. To help the injured and disable people in their movement and in body positioning.
