Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryWe are going to design and develop an online LIPO battery health monitoring system. We all use batteries in our homes, offices, workplaces but we seldom look after them properly. So, it leads in its capacity reduction. It gives us less backup than what it gave when we first bought it. We are working on the project that would inform battery owner about their batteries health through An Android app any time and any where.
Project ObjectivesOur primary objective is to increase battery's capacity. It can only happen if we check its performance minuety. So far that purpose we will be using batteries along with some sensors that will transmit data to aurdino and then aurdino will be connected to wifi module for online connectivity and then that data from the aurdino will be featured on our very own android aap which will help user take smart and timely decisions. We will not be using any other app rather will be creating of our own.
Project Implementation MethodTwo batteries will be used which then will be connected to sensors. Sensors will do the job of data acquisition and then after data acquisition process that data will be transmitted to aurdino. Aurdino will be programmed in a way that it will keep the track record of battery charging and discharging patterns. Based otn these patterns aurdino will take intelligent decisions. Further Arduino will be connected to our own created android app through wifi module. And on android app all of data will be shown. Android app will be free and shown the remaing battery health percentage. We will also be able to disconnect charging if batteries are charged or over heated. We will also be using an LCD to display relevant data.
Benefits of the ProjectOur project will tranform the way we use and look after our batteries. Our very purpose of this project is to reduce losses in batteries. Our project will help in maintaining the battery health through routine and minutely checkup. Through our app user can look to their battery performance any where and any time without any interruption. We will also be able to stop battery from overcharging and overheating through our project. User will be continuously updated through different reminders and through that it will dramatically save batteries life.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableOur project will consist two LIPO batteries and some sensors, an aurdino, wifi module and an android app.
