The world is progressing rapidly as time passes. From the smallest object like a smartwatch to smart cars, everything is digitizing. The mirrors are also going through different phases and now smart mirrors are the future for ease of access. All this is possible because of the enhancement of microcontrollers through which we can implement different devices, also giving us the edge to connect to the internet. The mirror’s actual working is done by Rasp Pi 3B. a strip of LED’s will be placed behind the frame of the mirror. The proposed project shows widgets, live weather forecasts, schedules and much more. The mirror also includes voice to speech through which the mirror would perform different tasks like home automation, surfing the internet and social sites.

The personal support is already in the market and is named ALEXA. The main feature that is introduced in this project is facial recognition. This would be our main focus. Available mirrors in the market don’t have such a feature in them. By using image processing techniques, the mirror would be able to recognize the face of the person as soon as he/she steps in front of it. The world is progressing as we speak. So, this project would prove to ease the life of a person in multiple ways.

Our main aim is to develop a mirror with a futuristic approach that would give the user a whole new experience in every possible way. The mirror that we are proposing will consist of a two-way mirror, Raspberry Pi 3B+, sensors for lights, modules, etc.

The coated surface of mirror is hard and is not easily damaged, so cases can be opened normally. Do not mark the coated surface with adhesive labels or wax crayons, and do not drag suction cups or metal objects across the surface. The coating will not be damaged by such materials, but it may be difficult to fully remove fine wax, rubber or metal residues due to the submicroscopic roughness of the coating.

It can be cleaned and maintained by hand washing with non-abrasive, ordinary, glass cleaning solutions. For hand washing, a mild detergent and water solution is recommended. Uniformly apply the solution to the glass and wash with a clean, soft cloth, sponge, or pad. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and wipe or squeegee dry immediately. Make sure no metal parts of the cleaning equipment touch the reflective glass surface, and that no abrasive particles are trapped between the glass and the cleaning materials. Stubborn stains can be removed with organic solvents such as mineral spirits, denatured alcohol, acetone, or MEK, following appropriate safety procedures. The solvent wash should be followed immediately by a detergent wash and clear water rinse to remove solvent and dirt residues. Do not use harsh chemical cleaners, abrasives, opaque liquid cleaning solutions such as Soft Scrub® by Clorox, steel wool, or razor blades on the reflective surface.
