DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF GIMBALLING SYSTEM USING REACTION CONTROL SYSTEM
A Vernier thruster is a rocket engine used on a spacecraft for fine adjustments to the attitude or velocity of a spacecraft. The aim of this project is to demonstrate thrust vectoring on a spacecraft using Vernier engines and maneuver the spacecraft to a certain degree for yaw, pitch and roll. The spacecraft chosen is Pakistan’s Ghauri missile. The fins in the original model are removed and Vernier engines will be used for thrust vectoring mechanism. Four Vernier engines will be attached at the aft end of the missile.
The following steps are to be followed for the design and development of vernier engines:
