Project Area of Specialization Mechanical EngineeringProject SummaryThe purpose of this project is to design, build, test and operate a launching system for a small fixed wing unmanned aerial Glider. The goal is to create a system that is both portable and reliable to use, only requiring a two-person team to use effectively in the field.
The project is divided into two phases. The first phase includes research on different designs, design finalization and development of a 3D CATIA Model. The 2nd phase is based on the material procurement and manufacturing of the catapult device.

Project Implementation MethodThis project is the cost effective solution to the problem faced by aero-modelers concerning unavailability and constructing lengthy and smooth runway fields with less portability and mobility.
This also eliminate the problem of using a dedicated area for take-off within the acceptable cost feasibility
