Our aim is to introduce a methodology that will first detect the region in which Urdu text is written then it will recognize the detected text in images. Firstly, we will make dataset that will have a greater number of images with different size, color, text variations then we will train our system

Project Summary
Our aim is to introduce a methodology that will first detect the region in which Urdu text is written then it will recognize the detected text in images. Firstly, we will make dataset that will have a greater number of images with different size, color, text variations then we will train our system on our dataset and we will compare our results with existing datasets to check the robustness and accuracy of our system. Fig.1 shows how we will perform our tasks to get better results on our proposed dataset. We will perform annotation on our dataset and then training and testing will be done for detection and recognition. Then the results will be analyzed.
Project Objectives
The main objectives of our project are:
• To create a dataset for Urdu text detection and recognition that will help in attaining more accuracy than the existing systems.
• To help the research community in developing algorithms and interpreting Urdu text in outdoor natural scene images.
• To train a text detector on the dataset to get better Urdu results.
• To develop a DNN classifier for recognition of Urdu text.
Project Implementation Method
1. Collection of dataset.
2. Labelling and annotation of images using MATLAB(image labeler)
3.Detection and Recognition.
