Project Area of Specialization Wearables and ImplantableProject SummaryOur project title is DC Motor drive with feedback path.This
was an industry project & we have added a feedback path
with the help of control circuit by using Pulse width modulation
Technique. Second thing the display of Real time parameters
of motor such as supply voltage,current,rpm & tacho voltage
by using voltage divider circuit & buck converter are made on
LCD.Also limit has been set to trip the circuit whenever there
is overloaded.
Project ObjectivesActually the problem that industry was facing that whenever
the load is mounted on DC motor or some work piece is
placed then the speed of motor decreases. We have to
mitigate this problem and design a system so that our system
become independent of load so that whenever the load is
mounted, speed will not change.
Second we have to provide an ease to workers operating in
industry that instead of measuring motor parameters again &
again,they just visualize these parameters on LCD.
Third thing there was no sign of overloading.our Project will
eradicate this problem by setting an limit of overload with the
help of potentiometer.As a result a message will be displayed
on LCD whenever system is overloaded & it will trip the
Circuit.As a result remaining components will remain safe.
Project Implementation MethodControl circuit for feedback consist of circuit which first step down the Ac 220V via step down Transformer to Ac 15 V then there comes a diode bridge after that there is Capacitor for filtering purpose then come 7812 IC which is used for voltage regulation.
In simple words the tacho voltage is used as a feedback in control circuit. This Tacho voltage is compared with reference voltage and then it is passed through amplifiers circuit which amplifies the pulse produced as output of IC 712 and LM311. After amplification the error signal enters in pulse Transformer through which gate signal is controlled with respect to error signal generated. In this way Tacho generator voltage is used as a feedback in speed control of PM DC motor.
Benefits of the ProjectThe main advantage is that as motor rpm become
independent of load. Losses due to less rpm will be
reduced. As a result the overall efficiency of the system
improve.
Our project will provide an ease to workers in industry by
displaying motors parameters on Lcd.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableDC motor speed is controlled using voltage feed back cct and all parameters like rpm, main input voltage, tacho voltage and current drawn by motor is shown on LCD.H bridges of two Industrial Diodes and two Industrial Thyristors configration is used to convert AC into DC.
