Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryPolice uses CCTV (Closed-circuit Television) and video camera (video surveillance area) are used to monitor the crime scene subjects. It becomes essential for the police to stop street crimes and establishes a peaceful big city and also monitors large events like concerts, parades and sporting events. This can be done by the introduction of an innovative technological approach. Our project will help the police to detect criminals and stop crime at timely manner. The system stops the crime before big loss occurs, reduce man power and work efficiently
Monitoring large events like concerts, parades and sporting events is extremely expensive and requires a great deal of manpower. All available agents are deployed to monitor various routes and areas where there are security concerns. This strategy leaves many agents covering one single area, watching “nothing” happen. Augmenting ground teams with drones gives police departments a wider field of surveillance over a large area. Drones can zoom to areas of interest, giving agents the ability to remotely assess a threat, such as a suspicious package. This type of immediate, crowd-based monitoring can provide police with the vital information needed to make the critical decision to send ground personnel to a location only when it’s necessary to do so.
Project consists of hardware and application.
APPLICATION:
In application the location of criminal activity is shown with the help of google maps. The application save the time and location of the crime.
HARDWARE:
Hardware consists of camera, drone and GSM module. When the criminal activity detected through camera then the location is send to the application.

Project Implementation MethodThis is hardware based project having desktop application, which consists of camera, drone and GSM module.
HARDWARE:
Hardware consists of camera, drone and GSM module. The camera and drone is connected with raspberry pi. The code is running on the raspberry pie which detect the criminal and suspicious activities from the video stream coming from camera. When the criminal or any suspicious activity detected the GPS location send to the application.
Coding:
The code is in python language for the criminal and suspicious activity detection. The opencv and tensorflow machine learning libraries are used. And the YOLO algorithm is also used.
The simulation tool (RealFlight Drone) is used for the drone coding.
APPLICATION:
In application the location of criminal activity is shown with the help of google maps that saves time and location of the crime. Show the location of criminal activity. Help police determining shortest distance to the crime scenes. Draw graphs to show criminal activities in the city.
Coding:
The application is developed in C# language (desktop application). MySQL database management system is used for database creation.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableThis is hardware based project having desktop application, which consists of camera, drone and GSM module.
Module 1:
1. The main objective of the project is to identify the suspicious activities in real time to reduce the crime rate.
2. The data is collected in specified time interval using camera attached with drone that monitor larger area.
Module 2:
1. When the criminal activity detected through camera then the location is send to the application.
2. In application the location of criminal activity is shown with the help of google maps that saves time and location of the crime.
3. To detect criminal activities the pure concept of image processing is used, the classification algorithm results is in the form of positive and negative that identify that any unusual activity is happened or not.
The monitoring cells should be formed in the police stations and our product is ready to deploy in these monitoring cells to help the police in detecting crimes and reduce crime rate.
The system also implemented on existingCCTV (Closed-circuit Television) and video camera.
