There are billions of cricket fans across the world. For cricket lovers the best part is to watch cricket live but it’s impossible to sit in front of television all the time. For this reason, we are developing an android application in which ball-by-ball live voice as well as text commentary with real feel and emotions will be provided to users to enjoy the cricket while they are working or driving.
Emotions bring colour in commentary. Live running commentary with emotions not only amuse the cricket fans but also forces them to attach with match till the last ball. Along with textual and voice commentary updates of upcoming and ongoing matches will also be provided. The users will also browse their favourite cricket teams and players. The application will provide updated scoreboard along with player’s details, runs, wickets and overs to users. The users can also browse cricket teams as well as cricket players.
The application will not be dedicated to specific type of user. As we know the cricket fans are spread all over the world. So any type of user or cricket fans will use this application to listen the live running commentary of ongoing matches with real feel and emotions The word “Emotions” specifies laughter’s and hooting behind the iconic moments of cricket match and “Real Feelings” mean commentary without long delays and pauses.
Project ObjectivesCricket is a game that fascinate every one despite of geographical or regional gaps. The motivation behind CrikLis is broadcast live voice commentary to cricket fans with real feel and emotions to amuse their selves with the iconic moments of cricket matches. Adding of emotions brings real feeling in commentary which will ultimately increase the enthusiasm among cricket fans. It will broadcast the live cricket matches with score updates and information related to ongoing and upcoming matches. The major objectives of our application include:
- To broadcast live cricket commentary for listeners/users.
- To add emotions in the commentary to give real feel to listeners.
- To provide updates of upcoming and ongoing matches.
- To provide updated and detailed scoreboards.
The application will be implemented in android studio using java as backend language. A laptop with maximum 8G RAM recommended 16GB is required for implementation of application and an android phone is needed to test the application. Our application will retrieve live data from the website of ESPN crick info through java language. Data will be retrieve and save in the form of html pages and after retrieval of html pages the meaningful information will be fetched through proper algorithm. Fetched data will be in text form we will covert this data from text-to-speech through proper model. Once the data will be converted from text-to-speech emotions are added to give it real feel.
Benefits of the ProjectThe benefits of our project are as follows:
- Users can easily listen the live audio ball-by-ball commentary with real feel and emotions.
- Instead of watching match updates online user will be able to listen the ongoing match updates while they are working or driving.
- In future for marketing purpose the advertisers can reach their targeted audience by using our application as cricket fans are spread all over the world.
The final product would be an android application along with its detail documentation in which description of each phase is written. The application will provide ease to user to broadcast live running commentary with real feels and emotions. Emotions will increase the enthusiasm of users to attach with the ongoing match. User will be able to view the detail scoreboard. Option of textual commentary will also be providing along with browsing of players and teams. Details of upcoming matches will also be given.
