COVID Alert Application
Because of its constant structural change and the lack of appropriate antidotes, the coronavirus (COVID-19) has emerged as the most difficult issue. The virus mostly spreads and replicates among large groups of individuals through intimate contact, which can occur in a variety of ways. As a result, the only relevant actions to restrict the spread of this unique virus are to maintain social distance, do contact tracing, employ suitable safety gear, and apply quarantine measures. However, despite being theoretically feasible, these strategies are extremely difficult to implement in heavily populated countries and locations, however mobile applications can be very helpful to protect people from COVID and to spread awareness about this virus. This project aims to develop an android application on COVID19. Application will show alerts to the users on the mobility of users in COVID affected areas. When user’s moves in a COVID affected areas this app will generate an alert to the user tells the user that this place is most affected place by corona virus so in order to prevent yourself lf from virus take precautionary measures and follow SOPs. Furthermore the Application will aware people about the disease through videos.
Following are the objectives of our projects:
When a user open the app a dashboard will be shown to the users which will contains the details of recently positive reported cases, recovered cases, deaths from corona virus, and the locations of most affected areas, which are affected by corona virus worldwide. A request will generate from the application through Volley library to the API when Application will be launched. API will processed the request and send the response back to Application in JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) format which contains the details about the COVID situation of worldwide and will be displayed on the screen. User can search for a specific country, when a user enter a substring in the search area the app will match it with the list of the countries through android Filterable interface and if country name present in the list the Application will show the details of that country . Application will contain awareness videos of doctors on COVID19 to educate people about corona virus. Users must turn on their location and app must be connected to the internet. App will track the user location and match it with the affected areas from database. If the location matches with the affected area then app will generate an alert to the users through android notifications to guide them to take precautionary measures and will keep tracking the movements of the users as describe in figure2. Application will use REST API to get the global situation of COVID and will show to the user. By the use of Google Map API the affected areas will show on the map in the Application.

5 This project can save the lives of the people by guiding them to take precautionary measures so that people can save themselves from COVID
The final diliverable of the project will be an android Application which will run on android devices. The user must have an active internet connection and turn on their location so that tghe Application can work poroperly
