Project Area of Specialization Augmented and Virtual RealityProject SummaryCAWN is designed for COMSATS Lahore campus navigation purposes. As one of the trends of development on Augmented Reality and betterment of navigation technology in 21st century, different types of advancements have been researched and developed to implement a better navigation way in many countries. CAWN would have two modules, One for AR base navigation and the other one would navigate through Maps/Street View.
Project ObjectivesGoal is to complete the project till May,2020. Two apps(iOS + Android) will be developed by using React Native, a JavaScript framework used to develop native Android and iOS application by single JavaScript cross-platform code. CAWN would have two modules.

Motivation and Scope
- This project will consist of creating a marketable app based upon the concepts/technology of Augmented Reality. The project will be completed by May, 2020. Modules of the app will include a camera UI in which users can see the names, events happening and paths to specific buildings.
- To design the high-level, technical and secure architectures required to support the Augmented Reality and scale them up as the technology gets more mature.
- Understand and implements the concepts of Augmented Reality and Unity3D.
- Introduce a new technology to allow national administrators to implement it for more automated security, mapping and tracking methodologies.
The project would be based upon Spiral Process Model. The initial development of map production would be done in blender software. Later on, the complete map obtained form blender software would be integrated in animation editing software for further scripting development.
Benefits of the Project- CAWN will allow ready access to highly sophisticated navigational equipment necessary for proper demonstrations and learning.
- CAWN helps discover nearby local buildings, classes, cafeterias along with their details all geo-tagged and accessible via a smartphones’ camera viewfinder.
- 3D/4D Modeling with Location Based application that deals with Holograph Technology
