It would also provide user with a health age predictor. Also we can claim accidents through location tracker.
Moreover we provide user with a chat bot for getting answers
about their queries regarding policies.

Project Objectives

Our Project aim is to make a beneficial insurance App for insurance companies, so that people could easily view insurance policies and also allow them to deals with other issues related to policies. It would allow its users to claim their car insurance during an accident by using a location tracker and by sending the location to company. It would help out the people in predicting their health age by using a health age predictor. Moreover it would facilitate the company in easy classification of driver's driving patterns which would help them out in deciding whether user should provide greater or lesser premium or whether he should be given some bonus or not.

Project Implementation Method

The method we would adapt for the development would be “incremental”. It is a software development where the product is designed, implemented and tested incrementally (a little more is added each time) until the product is finished. Both development and maintenance would be involved.

In this app user’s first log in and are presented with a selection of accidental Car, Insurance Information, Health Age Calculator and Daily driving features. Insurance information feature allows to view basic information of policies i.e. basic health, motor insurance etc. If customer selects accident tracker feature then it will trace the location of customer where the accident happens and automatically retrieves the name and ID number from company. Through health age calculator customer fill out a basic health age questionnaire. It will tell person about his/her health age. Daily driving provides the information about mileage of car, driving safely, driving pattern of car, location of car and travelling time of car which would help company classify the users.

Benefits of the Project

User Benefits:

  1. This App would help the end user view all the different policies offered by the company.
  2. The user can have a conversation with a chatbot regarding any issue related to the policies.
  3. The user can claim their accidental by sending its location using location tracker (GPS) and sending snaps to the company.
  4. More over this App would keep the user aware of his/her driving patterns, about how much he drives, Location of car, travelling time of car.

  1. Company would get information regarding the car and their drivers, it would help the company in deciding whether user should provide greater or lesser premium or whether he should be given some bonus or not.
  2. Company can get the location of cars using GPS.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final deliverable of this project is a software system (a fully developed android app).One of the final deliverable is Heath age predictor. Health age predictor would help the user to predict their health age. The app would use the OBD-2 tracker, which would be connected to device through Bluetooth. It have a 16-pin DLC ( Data Link Connector) and would help the company  in easy classification of driver's driving patterns which would help them out in deciding whether user should provide greater or lesser premium or whether he should be given bonus or not and it would also help users to know about how they drive.

The app would have a location tracker feature that would access the location, for this a google API is integrated in android studio. Also it would allow users to know about different insurance policies and issues by talking to a Chatbot. Chatbot is made using Dialogflow, a Google’s platform and is integrated with android using Kommunicate SDK in android.
