Importance and Scope of Chemistry:

In every day life there are many instances that include chemistry, some applications are:

  1. Supply of Food:

The chemistry provided the world with chemical fertilizers such as urea , sodium nitrate,  calcium superphosphate and Ammonium Sulphate. These chemicals have helped greatly in increasing the yield of vegetables, fruits, and other crops. Thus, we can cater to the ever-growing demand for food. It has helped to protect the crops from insects and harmful bacteria by the use of certain effective insecticides, fungicides, and pesticides. Chemistry also led to the discovery of preservatives. These chemicals have greatly helped to preserve food products for a longer period. It has given methods to test the presence of adulterants. This ensures the supply of pure foodstuff.

Why Virtual Reality in Chemistry Lab:

The aim of creating virtual lab is to reduce cost and simplify maintenance of lab facilities, as well as giving the safe 
environment to the students to build up experience. virtual labs will facilited students to implement and analyse their own experiments, they can learn by virtual objects
and apparatus.

practice makes man perfect, while exercising and experience in laboratories are the key factors in the science education,
confidence will be increased, when students performce virtual lab experiments, students will be familiar with the mechanisms, apparatus, and chemical reactions without any lose or risk.
Our main motive is to encourage girls to study science and engineering. However, to provide students with the chance of practising scientific skills requires enormous investment in time, funding and resources, which are always limited. 
Online labs are science labs offer the one time small investment. 

Virtual labs ease the pressure brought on universities and schools by cost and maintenance of real labs, while utilising the extensive technological knowledge of students today. 

Project Objectives

Our main objectives:

  1. One of the main objectives of the virtual lab is the familiarization of students or learners with the apparatus of a real chemical laboratory. This function will give the great opportunity for those students who have not previous experience in the chemicals and apparatus.
  2. We are going to make high realistic virtual apparatus, chemicals and the mechanism involved the experiments with the collaboration with the department of chemistry university of Sindh,  Jamshoro.
  3. Reducing the cost and investment in chemical labs.
  4. Reducing the risk of life and health, while performing chemical experiments.
  5. Making the equal opportunity for those institutions which have not enough budgets to arrange the chemical laboratories and equipments.
  6. Our main objective is to encourage the girls in science and engineering fields, by using virtual lab girls can easily perform the lab experiments to get the experience and confidence.
  7. Provide the synchronization between the process of explaining the theoretical ideas and practical application, just as real laboratory experiments are linked to theoretical lectures.
  8. Help students and teachers study and prepare laboratory experiments at any time and place.
  9. Save time and effort for researchers by eliminating the need to move between different laboratories.
  10. Help educational institutions save money.

Virtual labs allow resources to be shared between geographically distributed educational institutions and users. Virtual labs are easy to set up, use and maintain, with notable reductions in cost and time. Hardware labs on the other hand are difficult to set up and very time-consuming and costly for the institutions to manage, and require a lot of technical expertise to run. In addition to being cheaper than hardware labs, virtual labs have the potential to be used in experiments that would be too dangerous or impossible to carry out in real life, e.g. practicing surgeries or testing the functions of a nuclear reactor: these labs allow students to learn from mistakes without causing any real damage to themselves or others.
