Project Summary

The CariGari – Automobile Monitoring & Telematics is an android/iOS-based application providing ease to the vehicle owners and drivers. It  is designed to facilitate the users for locking/Unlocking, engine activation/deactivation, SOS detection, fuel monitoring, mileage detection and control the media panel of a manual vehicle through a smartphone. These functions are achieved by the feature of voice recognition using the cross-platform application for automobile monitoring and telematics. Moreover, a user is also able to track the location of the vehicle by alerting the user if the vehicle is in a specific location. It provides comfort level to the user of the vehicles through Smart Drive concept.

Project Objectives

The aim and objectives of the project are
•  to provide a luxury interface in a normal vehicle.
•  to control vehicle with voice
•  to control vehicle using a smartphone as well as screen in the car.
•  to make the user independent by using touch-based devices to control the vehicle.

Project Implementation Method

The system contains three main devices a Primary device, Secondary Device and the Core device. Primary device is a smartphone which is used to control vehicle from outside. Secondary derive is a tablet which is used to control vehicle from inside of the car. Core device is a circuit board which contains Arduino UNO microcontroller, HC-05 bluetooth module, four channel relay and ultrasonic sensor which is embedded in the vehicle to accept commands sent by the user through primary or secondary device. When outside, the car the user have to connect their smartphone with the core device with the help of Bluetooth. Once connected the user can lock/unlock, start/stop, navigate car location and get inside the car. Inside the car, the user can turn off their mobile bluetooth and connect core device with the secondary device present inside the car. The user can now start/stop, lock/unlock, play music, get directions by touch or using voice commands

Benefits of the Project

“CariGari – Automobile Monitoring and Telematics”  allow users to control their vehicles smartly. Such a sytem can be installed in any other vehicle and can provide security and ease to vehicle owners and drivers.
