BROACHING UNCOUTH WATER LEVEL SNAGE IN UNDER-SURFACE FIELD THROUGH REMOTE SENSORS
Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryAs the population of the world is increasing the per acre yield of the crops for people to eat is decreasing and one of the reasons for this yield decrease is field is not watered properly. due to which some areas of the field are left where water is not reached to the level needed by the crop and because of which the crop does not give its full yield.
we proposed a methodology in which sensors are deployed in the field which measures the water moisture content of the soil and with the help of which the farmer can keep a watch on whether the whole field is watered properly or not.
To presage the water level in an underground agricultural field.
Assuring that the whole field has exposure to a sufficient amount of moisture for optimal fertility for the seed.
The farmer will be aware of the water level that reaches the field through remote sensors.
A group of sensing nodes are deployed in the field. the Sensing Node contains a sensor a microcontroller and an RF module transmitter which sends the sensor data to the base station. the base station includes an Rf receiver it receives the data from the sensor nodes and the microprocessor processes the whole data and provides the stats of the time and the water quantity soil has absorbed.
using this approach we can measure whether the whole field has been watered or not.
- The system would be wireless that would create case as compared to previous used systems with wire.
- it will conserve the water as accurate amount of water will be provided
- it would be best use of natural resource i.e water
- it will create ease for the farmers because there will be no need for farmers to check it physically.
- sensors will be protected with plastic covers to avoid their decaying
- while receiving the status of water level remotely, requires no extra hardships as happens in traditional cultivation
- no wastage of water
- time saving
- the deployed sensor nodes are battery-powered and will stay dormant until and unless the action is necessary.
we used proteus as a software and used sensors, arduino UNO WIFI, rf transmitter and receiver.
