It becomes very difficult for doctors to understand the patient and their needs. The attendants with patients are also in big difficulty in understanding the patients need. The people which are having hearing disability also have difficulty in explaining and expressing their feelings to other people. Another problem which is faced by the Doctors and the attendants is the patient’s behavior, which depends upon the mental status of the patient. And what state of mind patient is in. Our project is to make a device which detects the brain signals of the patients and tell what patient needs and express their basic feelings. And tells the state of mind patient is in like is depressed, is happy, sad etc. The main difficulty is to recognize that which signal from which part of brain send what kind of message.

Project Objectives

“To design a real time BCI technology embedded system to detect the signal generated by paralyzed patients to know their basic needs and to know the patients mental state, it will be a great invention in medical technology”.

Project Implementation Method

The EEG cap will be placed on the patient’s head. The cap will transmit brain signals to the computer. After that we will distinguish that which signal contain what kind of message. Through signals we will tell what king of communication the patient is trying to do, that is the basic need which he/she requires or trying to communicate, and which mental state patient is in. The message will be displayed on the screen about the patient’s requirement and the mental health and state of the patient

Benefits of the Project

The project will help the paralyzed patients and hearing disorder patients to do basic communication with other people. And tell them their needs and will be able to answer them in at least yes or no. And the mental state of the patient.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

For machine learning/training we will use Anaconda IDE. The open-source Anaconda Distribution is the easiest and industrial platform form Python techniques and machine learning. For hardware will use an EEG cap for Brain signal detection
