We will develop an  android based system which allow the users (i.e. buyer and sellers) to get on a single platform which is android based through where student and others can buy or sell their book with getting complete information of one another.

Project Objectives

The fundamental aim to carry out this project is to create and design an Android based application of Book Exchange; in order to transfer all their routine operations into an Application, which will allow serving customers up to their optimum satisfaction. A main goal of (BE) application is to allow the users to search for any book in easy way by enter book ISBN, book name or by book author or by viewing the image of related book. Book exchange returns the full information about the book such as edition, book status. Also (BE) allowing student to view full details of the seller.

Project Implementation Method

This project specialized on android area. There is scope on this project. The app is based on online shopping where customer can order and make a payment of book via internet. Moreover it will able to save customer data and .The limit of customer profiling system that it analyzes only registered users and. In technical side to develop application will be done by Android studio and firebase.

Benefits of the Project

Every year there are many students who are busy with finding textbooks that they want to use in the beginning of new semesters/quarters. Since the prices for textbooks are pretty expensive, quite a lot of them choose to borrow or buy used books from libraries, classmates, friends or anyone in their network. Because of the low capacity of libraries, most of the time you are put in a long queue, which might take you a long time to wait for the item you want. And also, it’s not easy to buy a used book just by your connections. So our idea here is to provide a Book Exchange mobile app which will help students to get used books easily and cheaply. By using this application, people can get books they’re looking for and share own resources to others as well.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Functional requirement includes how the application will work, how it will respond to user’s input. Following are the functional requirements

• Register/Login Activity:

1. The user can sign up and login to application.
2. The application can validate user sign up and login activity by matching its email and password.

• User’s Profile Management:

1. User is allow to manage its profile by updating his personal details.
2. User can search for books, buy, sell or rent a book according to his own choice.
3. User can activate or deactivate his/her account.

• Buy and Sell Management.
• Users can upload books and to buy or sell by their own choice.
