BlindEye
Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryThere are lot of blind people and there exists no such technology which might help them navigate outside their known premises or within closed environments where there are a lot of objects and hurdles which may affect their movement, our aim is to make an interactive system which might help such people reach desired locations and their targets in such scenarios and prevent accidents/collision with the help of computer vision and deep reinforced learning.
The very same technology can be used to move robots within an environment and increase their efficiency.
Project Objectives- Object detection
- Target identification
- Accident Prevention
- Movement Precision
- Providing Computer Aided Navigation
- Audio Input fed to the system for the desired target.
- Realtime use of stereo cameras and ultrasonic sensors for enviroment and scene detection
- Real time image proccesing for Object/Target Detection
- Audio guidance to the object's position.
-
Safety of the blind person
-
Keeping track of enviormental changes for precision.
-
Accident Prevention i.e: detecting holes using depth estimation algorithms.
-
Constant audio feedback to give a sense of enviroment
- Glasses having stereo cameras fit onto them along with a microphone.
- An encapsulated hardware system consisting of a mini computer e.g Jetson TX2
- A headset for audio guidance.
